After two months off, the next LATC meeting will be held Monday, September 24th from 4:30 – 6:30 at the Hotel Ithaca located at 222 South Cayuga Street, Ithaca.

 

The LATC monthly meetings consist of an agenda that includes product and services information from some of our valued LATC Sponsors, prominent speaker presentations, panel discussions and general LATC business. These speakers offer presentations and forums of generalinterest to all Tompkins County landlords, rental property managers and real estate investors. Some meetings also provide for a platform of open forums, questions and answer sessions and round table discussions.

 

LATC membership dues are now due for our fiscal year which begins October 1. Kindly bring your membership dues to the September 24thmeeting. Dues will be collected at the sign in table at the beginning of the meeting. Dues may also be paid with a credit card directly on our web site http://www.landlordsassociation.com/join-renew.html. The LATC Board of Directors have been able to maintain the same dues structure as last year. This dues structure is:

1  – 10 apartment rental units   -    $50.00

11 – 25  apartment rental units  -    $75.00

26 or more apartment rental units- $100.00

  • We will have a presentation followed by a question and answer session.
  • Speaker - Gillian Haines-Sharp, Assistant Chief Fire Marshall – Ithaca Fire Department.

·         What are the safety benefits of installing a sealed ten year smoke alarm vs. install a new ten year lithium battery into an existing alarm?
 
·         What is the difference between a photoelectric and ionization alarm?

·         What are the most common causes of residential house fires?

We have reserved the Stewart Park Large Pavilion for our 29th Annual Picnic. This is always a well attended and enjoyable social event. The main dishes will be catered. Snacks and drinks will also be provided by the LATC.

Families and children are welcome as are members guests. Each person should bring their own place settings and a dish to pass.
