WARNING If you are responsible for taking your trash to the curb, you should be aware that the City of Ithaca is contemplating changes to the EXTERIOR PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ORDINANCE. These changes will drastically increase fines for improper or untimely placement of trash, etc. Fines will start at $50 per day per violation and skyrocket upward! Also, you will have to use only approved trash cans and get them off the street quickly. No more placing trash bags at the curb unless they are in cans. If you are concerned with these changes, contact your Common Council Representative immediately. You already pay enough for garbage pick-up. |
