The Landlords Association of Tompkins County meets regularly at 4:30 on the 4th Monday of each month at the Ramada Inn on North Triphammer Rd.

Executive meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month.

Sep 26th- City of Ithaca Building Commissioner
Oct- 24th- Our two guests will speak on insurance. Frannie Haranin, the owner of the State Farm office will speak specifically on Renters Insurance. What it costs the tenant, additional rider options and how it protects the landlord against claims and damages created as a result of tenant mistake and/or negligence. The other speaker is Eric Turtegaard, Account Executive of Tompkins Insurance. He will be speaking about Insurance for Landlords with Student Rental Properties. This is also our annual meeting and election of Officers.
Nov- 28th- Attorney David Rumsey will be talking about IRS Rule 1031 real estate-like kind exchanges. Jay Janowsky is a partner in the local CPA accounting firm Sprague and Janowsky and will be talking about calendar year end rental property tax planning, new 2013 IRS tax codes and rule changes, "should I capitalize or expense" certain repair and maintennce costs, etc.

Jan 23rd- ASI associates will speak on Tips and Tricks for Winter Weatherizaton of Your Rental Properties and Easy Money Saving Oportunities.
